SANDWICH, MA – Richard Lennox, President of Disaster Specialists, announced today that Travis MacMillian has joined the company as Marketing Director. With more than 19 years of experience in the insurance industry, MacMillian joins Disaster Specialists from The Hanover Group, where he served as the National Director of Sales and Marketing.
MacMillian began his career with Commercial Union, and CGU Insurance Company, the predecessor of OneBeacon Insurance Group, as a file clerk. He then entered into the underwriter trainee program, moving rapidly ahead throughout the hierarchy of the company to his last position of Vice President, Marketing and Business Development for Commercial Lines. In 2008, after spending 15 years with OneBeacon, MacMillian left to join GNY Insurance Companies in New York City as President and COO. His last stent in early 2010 was with The Hanover Group, before joining Disaster Specialists.
In making the announcement, Mr. Lennox said, "We are very pleased to have Travis join Disaster Specialist in this marketing position. His extensive marketing, sales and business development background, as well as his track record for successfully developing businesses will be a great asset to Disaster Specialist as we look for continued growth in our marketplace."
MacMillian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Woodbury University in Burbank, California.
