Our Staff

Richard Lennox, President, Owner Richard has been in the insurance restoration business for over 25 years. He started from ground up to become an industry leader in Fire and Flood Damage Restoration, Mold Remediation, Vandalism and Crime Scene Clean Up. Rich attends conferences and seminars all over the country so he may better serve his company and his clients with up to date information and state of the art tools and techniques.

Born and raised right here on Cape Cod, Rich has a fondness for his community and most of all its youth. He devotes much of his spare time to coaching youth hockey, baseball and developing skate parks. Rich also generously contributes to the local community food bank.
Steven R. Jenney, Operations Manager. Steve comes to Disaster Specialists with a long history in the restoration field as well as spending the past couple years as an independent insurance adjuster. Steve oversees the Estimation and Production Departments of Disaster as well as being a major contributor to our daily operations. Steve's experience in the field is unsurpassed and we are sure that everyone who works with him will be pleased by his expertise and hands on approach.

Sue Cheetham, Marketing Manager Sue has been with Disaster Specialists for 6 years and has 18 years of marketing experience. Over the years she has developed relationships with key contacts in the insurance industry.
Curtis Silvia, Estimator/Project Mgr. Curtis has taken on the position of Project Manager after being in the field for nearly 8 years as a top Crew Leader. Curtis has always been known for his fast and friendly customer service and will do whatever it takes to make sure anyone who uses Disaster Specialists is completely satisfied from start to finish. Curtis is currently working on obtaining his construction supervisors license and since he already holds ASCR Certification in Mold Remediation Technician, Certified Trauma & Bio Hazard Technician, Duct Cleaning Specialist we are sure this will come easily.
Randy Florence, Estimator/Project Mgr. Randy Florence has been with Disaster Specialists for 5 years and has tackled some major projects in during that time. He handles an extremely busy portion of the Cape and is constantly on the go. Randy brings extensive experience to every job. Randy has 20 years construction experience, is a Licensed Mass State Construction Supervisor with formal education in Mass State Building Code, Construction Technology (commercial and residential), and Construction Estimating and is ASCR Mold Remediation Certified.
John R. Gonnella, Estimator/Project Mgr, John brings to Disaster Specialists five years of experience as an estimator and project manager within our industry. Prior to his career in disaster mitigation, restoration and reconstruction, John worked locally for a number of years in the lumber, building materials and millwork sales industry. He possesses an extensive knowledge with regard to to current and emerging products utilized by todays building professionals. Aside form attending seminars in water damage and fire mitigation procedures and protocols, John is NKBA-certified in 20/20 Kitchen Design Software, OIT-certified in Mold Remediation and is in the process of obtaining his Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License. His knowledgeable, professional aptitude and keen attention to customer service and satisfaction are complimented by his soft-spoken and empathetic demeanor. Outside of work, John is an avid lover of music, golf, hockey and spending time with his wife, son and extended family here on the Cape.
Jason Cullity, Estimator/Project Mgr. Jason began his tenure with Disaster Specialists as a laborer in the field and worked his way into an Estimator/Project Manager position during his eight years of employment with us. He has been trained in every aspect of restoration and is ready to serve your mitigation and restoration needs. His certifications include ASCR Mold Remediation, Trauma & Bio Hazard Clean-Up and is a Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE). Jason is also one of a very limited number of people within our industry who holds the title of Certified Restorer (CR). His extensive knowledge of the building trades is supported with a Massachusetts and Rhode Island Unrestricted Construction Supervisors Licenses.
Mark Kuznarowis, Drying Monitor, Warehouse Manager We like to say that Mark can see things that others can not. He holds a ITC Certification in Thermology and is  IICRC Certified in Water Damage Restoration. Mark employs the use of an infrared camera to ensure water damaged homes are drying properly and there is no hidden damage or unseen water leakage. Mark also makes sure all our equipment and vehicles are in tip top shape and keeps our warehouse neat, clean and fully stocked so our crews can get out in a hurry.

Two Hour Response Time. We guarantee a 2-hour response time no matter when you call: in the middle of the night or Christmas morning. If we are unable to respond to an accepted project we will deduct $250 from our service bill. No questions asked.
